Last Saturday (Feb 16th 2008), went to Georgetown Area (Su Hong Lane,Yu Yan Sang area, Khoo Kongsi Area etc) with mom. There's an event sponsored by Penang Government. The CNY celebration is from 4pm-1130pm. The government asks schools and associations to decorate and beautify each street with a chinese tradition. There are a total of 12 festivals. Since today is the 15th, which is also Yuen Xiao Jie, I'll start with this festival in this series. Below is the map with the 12 festivals.

Some people pay RM3-RM5 to learn the art of making paper.
1st, choose the design you like.
Next, dip into the red ink. Then press the ink on the design you chose.
After finished pressing the ink in every corner of the design, use spoon to press and make the design look nice.
Ta-daa... you have your end product here :D

imp: Nola...i didn't go for the yuen xiao jie celebration..i just went for the celebration on feb 16th..I think can support chinese...i typed chinese character b4..but not sure why like this... PJ there..near AmCorp mall, the lake there..i think every year got the yuen xiao jie celebration..went there with jian back in 2006...very fun :D |

the location map i get it from CityTell Hotel...the event for this year's CNY is over already...maybe u can join next year (i think newspaper got list out kut?) :)
